Emphasizing the organisation's ideological cause, the statement averred, "RSS is a people-cultivated movement for national reconstruction. Its emergence has been interpreted as a reaction to centuries of colonial rule, with its sustained growth due to the emotional appeal of its vision of India's national grandeur, based on Dharma."

One of the primary aims of the Sangh, the release further stated, is national character-building. "It aims to impart love for the motherland, discipline, self-control, valour, and heroism," with its final aim being "Sarvangeena Unnati (all-round development) of the nation."

Throughout the years, RSS and its associated organizations have made significant contributions to education, medicine, social welfare, and disaster relief, leading the way during floods, earthquakes, cyclones, and other natural disasters.

The centenary function seeks to commemorate not only the historical heritage of the RSS but also the ongoing process of how it continues to shape India's cultural fabric and bring people together.
