On Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi brought into the forefront the confessional video of a Jaish-e-Muhammed commander and applauded the armed forces for the success of Operation Sindoor, which he stated "brought Pakistan to its knees within the blink of an eye."

The video was that of a senior JeM operative, who said that the family of terror group leader Maulana Masood Azhar was traumatized during the May 7 operation.

Addressing a gathering at Madhya Pradesh's Dhar on his 75th birthday, PM Modi said: "Abhi kal hi desh aur duniya ne dekha hai fir ek Pakistani aatanki ne ro ro kar apna haal bataya hai. Ye naya Bharat hai. Ye kisi ki parmanu dhamki se darta nahi hai... Ghar mein ghus ke maarta hai. (Just yesterday, the nation and the world saw yet another Pakistani terrorist crying and revealing his condition. This is the new India — one that does not fear anyone’s nuclear threats)."

"The nation gives utmost priority to the security of Mother India. Pakistani terrorists removed the Sindoor of our sisters and daughters. We did Operation Sindoor and destroyed terror camps. Our brave armed forces brought Pakistan to its knees within the blink of an eye. Just yesterday, the nation and the world witnessed another Pakistani terrorist tearfully narrate his ordeal. This is a new India. It fears no one's nuclear threats," he added.

Masood Ilyas Kashmiri, a top JeM commander, in the video, had conceded that Indian missiles had hit the outfit's Bahawalpur headquarters on May 7 during Operation Sindoor, killing members of Masood Azhar's family and inflicting a significant setback to the group.

"We embraced terrorism... fought Delhi, Kabul, and Kandahar to protect the borders of Pakistan. But after sacrificing everything, on May 7, Maulana Masood Azhar's family was torn apart by Indian forces in Bahawalpur," he said.

Among the nine targets struck in the raid was Markaz Subhan Allah, the headquarter of JeM. One day after the strikes, an SMS on WhatsApp from JeM verified that ten Azhar family members were killed in the attack.
