Garcia overcomes Andreescu to clinch Bad Homburg Open title

Former Top 10 player Garcia came from a set and a break down against resurgent 2019 US Open winner Bianca Andreescu to win her first WTA singles title in three years. Though, she and fellow Frenchwoman Kristina Mladenovic had partnered to win their second Roland Garros doubles title earlier this month. Andreescu led 7-6(5), 4-2 before Garcia won four straight games to level the match, and was also up 2-0 in the final set. In the match's final game, Garcia held serve from 0-30 down to close out the 6-7(5), 6-4, 6-4 win.
India lose to USA in WU23 3-Nation tournament

India created a flurry of chances and took the lead in the 8th minute, but the opponents picked up the win in the end, drawing level in the first half, before scoring three more on the other side of the lemon break. The first half began with a bang for the Indian side as Pyari Xaxa found the back of the net in the 8th minute as she pulled the trigger from long range after being fed the ball by Manisha Kalyan. However, the lead did not last long as Messiah Bright equalised about a minute later for USA.
Rohit Sharma tests positive for Covid; isolated in team hotel

The BCCI confirmed early on Sunday morning that Rohit Sharma had tested positive via a Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) on Saturday, with the India skipper currently in isolation at the team hotel ahead of the Test. Rohit had been participating in India's warm-up match against a Leicestershire XI at Uptonsteel County Ground, with the 35-year-old having made 25 in the opening innings of the match on Thursday. However Rohit did not feature during India's second innings on Saturday, with the BCCI confirming the right-hander will undergo further tests on Sunday to determine the extent of his ailment.
