New Zealand A to tour India in August-September: Report

The India A programme will be managed by VVS Laxman and his NCA support staff group of Sairaj Bahutule and Sitanshu Kotak. New Zealand A will arrive in India by the end of August for three four-day games and as many List A matches. All the matches are likely to be held in Bengaluru, an ESPNcricinfo report said. It has been learnt that the BCCI is also contemplating the possibility of a pink-ball game during the series, but a final nod is awaited.
ICC announces maiden women's FTP, over 300 matches to be played between 2022-25

A result of a joint effort from Members, the FTP ensures more matches for teams with the enhancement of the ICC Women's Championship (IWC) to a 10-team event. With teams featuring in more matches across formats in bilateral series, over 300 matches will be played as part of the 2022-25 FTP, a substantial increase from the previous IWC cycle. As previously announced, Bangladesh and Ireland are two additional teams in the IWC 2022-25.

Shahbaz Ahmed replaces injured Washington Sundar for Zimbabwe series

The All-India Senior Selection Committee has named Shahbaz Ahmed as the replacement for Washington Sundar for the three-match ODI series against Zimbabwe, the BCCI said in a statement on Tuesday. Washington Sundar injured his shoulder while playing a County game in England. He has been ruled out of the Zimbabwe tour. India will play the first ODI against Zimbabwe at the Harare Sports Club on August 18.

MCC unlikely to offer free entry to spectators on Day 5 of England-South Africa Test

While MCC refused to offer freebies, Trent Bridge, Headingley and Edgbaston allowed free admissions during the second and third Tests against New Zealand and the rescheduled fifth Test against India, resulting in big crowds thronging the venues. In fact, ahead of the fifth day's proceedings against New Zealand at Trent Bridge in June, the stadium refunded the existing ticket-holders, allowing them to watch the final-day action for free.
