Apparently the lanky India pace bowler landed in St. Kitts from Trinidad with more than a handful of his jerseys, even as the luggage of several other teammates got delayed. Arshdeep had to part with a couple of his jerseys, which saw Suryakumar Yadav wearing the left-arm pacer's shirt when he came out to bat. Later pacer Avesh Singh too came out wearing the jersey bearing Arshdeep's name.

The seven-time Grand Slam singles champion Venus lost 4-6, 6-1, 6-4 to Rebecca in a 1-hour and 52-minute clash on Monday night. "Just a little rusty. I really put myself in good positions in the third set, too. Just trying to shake off some rust. That's just to be expected. All I can do is just play another tournament and play better," said Williams after the match.

The third T20I of the engrossing five-match series at St Kitts will start at 9:30pm India time on Tuesday after the second match of the series on Monday began a 11 p.m. IST (earlier scheduled at 8 p.m. IST) due to team luggage arriving into St. Kitts from Trinidad late.

Harjinder Kaur from Mehas village near Nabha in Punjab lifted 93 in snatch and 119 in clean and jerk for a below-par total of 212 kg in the competition and at one time thought that she had lost out on a medal as Alexis Ashworth of Canada, the eventual silver medallist, lifted her season's best of 123 kg in clean and jerk to shoot up to 214 in the standings.
