Google agrees to pay $118 mn to settle gender discrimination lawsuit

The plaintiffs Kelly Ellis, Holly Pease, Kelli Wisuri, and Heidi Lamar worked for Google in California in a "covered position" since September 14, 2013. The class action gender discrimination lawsuit was filed in 2017. Google is also required to have an independent labour economist to evaluate its hiring practices and pay equity studies.

Apple topped the list with $2.85 trillion in market cap, followed by Saudi Aramco, Microsoft, Alphabet and Amazon, according to the data provided by London-based accounting company PwC. Apple regained its crown as the world's largest company by market capitalisation with a valuation 6 per cent and 13 per cent ahead of Saudi Aramco and Microsoft, respectively. Reliance Industries (at 58th position) and Tata Consultancy Services (69th spot) were the only two companies from India in the global list.
Netflix announces fresh games based on popular TV shows

Subscription-based 'Telegram Premium' coming this month

A person familiar with the matter told The Verge that the tech giant has decided to distribute them to developers initially so they can build software experiences for the device and future versions. TikTok probing claims of aggressive work culture: Report

It follows a probe by the newspaper which alleged a staff exodus from TikTok's London offices. According to the Financial Times, the launch of TikTok Shop -- the firm's live stream shopping feature -- in the UK prompted a number of staff to leave and complaints about an aggressive culture that goes against typical working practices in Britain.
