Global consumer robot company iRobot Corp on Thursday unveiled a new robotic vacuum cleaner Roomba j7+ with iRobot OS for Indian consumers. iRobot OS delivers a new level of customer experience for a cleaner, healthier and smarter home. "Smart home products often fail to live up to consumer expectations when they lack the context of the home, cannot learn independently, and require complex programming for basic functionality," Colin Angle, chairman and CEO of iRobot, said.
Twitter testing new shopping feature 'Product Drops'

The new feature lets brands tease items before they go on sale, and users can sign up to be reminded before the release through in-app notifications. "With Product Drops, when a merchant Tweets about an upcoming launch, you will see a 'Remind me' button at the bottom of the Tweet," the company said in a blogpost.
Twitter now plans to provide Musk access to data on bots

On Monday he threatened to walk away from the deal if the company fails to provide the data. Nothing all set to unveil its first smartphone on July 12

Airtel users in India report Internet, network outage, services restored

According to outage-tracking website DownDetector, reports of the outage came from cities including Mumbai, Delhi, Jaipur, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata and Guwahati, among other regions. Several users took to Twitter to register their complaints about the Airtel outage. The Twitterati tagged Airtel services and Airtel India in their tweets and demanded a quick fix to the problem
Google announces new features for Meet, Chromebooks

For those using the Google Workspace for Education Plus or Teaching and Learning Upgrade, Google said it is adding features focused on increasing interconnectivity, control and efficiency in the classroom to Google Meet. "Now, Meet calls can be auto-transcribed directly into a Google Doc for easy lesson reviews and the ability to search for keywords and concepts," Shantanu Sinha, Director, Google for Education, said in a blogpost.
EU agrees on common charger for mobile devices by 2024

IBM ends all Russian operations, lays off staff

In a letter shared with the employees, Krishna stated that the company's focus for months has been on looking after the safety and security of IBMers and their families in impacted regions. The company suspended operations back in March but kept employees on the payroll. "We chose to suspend operations so that we could evaluate longer-term options while continuing to pay and provide for our employees in Russia," the CEO wrote in the letter.
iOS 16 allows users to see WiFi network password

According to MacRumors, the iOS 16 developer preview includes an option to view a WiFi password and even copy it to share with friends or family. The feature was not available in iOS 15. As per the report, when users open the WiFi section in the Settings section and then tap on the network they are connected to, there's a new 'Password' option. Tapping it shows them the password of that WiFi network.
Indian cyber agency flags multiple bugs in Chrome OS, Mozilla

The agency mentioned that the bugs could allow a remote attacker to disclose sensitive information, bypass security restrictions, execute arbitrary code, perform spoofing attacks and cause a denial of service (DoS) attack on the targeted system. "These vulnerabilities exist in Mozilla Firefox due to SQL injection in the history tab, Cross-Origin resources length leaked, Heap buffer overflow in WebGL, Browser window spoof using full-screen mode..." CERT-In said on its website.
