YouTube Music's web app now offers multi-select option

As spotted by a Reddit user, the music streamer's web interface now offers the option to select multiple songs in list views, reports Android Central. The new functionality makes it easier to pick multiple items that users want to include in a playlist. Users can do so by clicking the new checkbox on the right-hand side of a song in a list. Hovering over a title should bring up the checkbox, and they can manage as many items as they want.
WhatsApp likely to add another verification code to prevent fraud

According to WABetaInfo, this feature is under development so it is not ready to be released to the public. When the feature will be released to beta testers, any successful attempt to log into the user's WhatsApp account from another device requires an additional verification code to confirm. The report mentioned that the company is now working on this feature to protect those users that may naively share their 6-digit code.
iOS 15 installed on 89% of iPhones introduced in last 4 yrs: Report

According to MacRumors, the tech giant updated its iOS 15 installation numbers for the first time in five months, giving us a clearer picture of just how many devices are running the latest update nine months after it launched. Only one per cent have an earlier version of iOS installed, the report said. When taking into account iPhones released more than four years ago, 82 per cent of all devices are running iOS 15.
Samsung likely to supply OLED displays for iPads, MacBooks

The Elec previously reported that Apple plans to release its first iPad Pro models with OLED displays in 2024 and said that Samsung would produce displays for those models in one of its existing lines, MacRumors reported. Samsung's future production line would be located at a different factory and be capable of creating OLED displays large enough for notebooks, paving the way for a MacBook Pro with an OLED display, which is rumoured to launch in 2025 or later.
Snapchat to display local restaurants nearby in Snap Map

Snapchatters from around the world will now automatically see Infatuation reviews in Place Profiles in more than 50 cities around the world. Last year, the photo-sharing platform introduced Layers as a new way for Snapchatters to find things to do with their friends on Snap Map. "Within just a few months, our first two Layers alone were used over 100 million times," Snapchat said in a statement on Friday.
Dorsey's Square service to begin beta testing for Apple's Tap to Pay

Elon Musk plans 10% staff cut at Tesla, freezes hiring

A Reuters report said on Friday that Musk has emailed Tesla executives, telling them the electric car-maker needs to pause hiring worldwide and cut its workforce by about 10 per cent. Tesla has nearly 1 lakh employees worldwide and Musk cites his "super bad feeling" about the economy for reducing the workforce. Tesla cut hundreds of workers in October 2017, about 9 per cent of staff in June 2018, and about 7 per cent in January 2019.

According to WABetaInfo, the Meta-owned platform is now working on letting users edit their text messages for a future update of the app and this feature is under development so it is not ready to be released to beta testers. A screenshot shared by the website showed that the messaging platform is developing a new option that will let users fix any typo after sending a message.
