WhatsApp launches 'Safety in India' resource hub for online safety
The launch of the resource hub comes after WhatsApp's week-long campaign, #TakeCharge to promote the safe use of the Internet. "Safety of our users is at the core of everything we do at WhatsApp and launching a dedicated 'Safety in India' resource hub is a way of reiterating our commitment to educating and empowering users to take control of their online safety," Abhijit Bose, Head of India, WhatsApp, said in a statement.
LG to launch a 55-inch transparent OLED TV in 2023: Report
According to TheElec, the TV would come under the brand's Home Entertainment Company. The display will be fixed on the TV like a traditional TV, unlike the company's rollable OLED TV or smart bed that had a screen panel that could be pulled out. LG Electronics has already made transparent OLED products. However, these models are only for enterprises rather than consumers.

This daily time limit setting pops up a notification to the user once their app activity hits their preferred limit, reminding them to be conscious of how much time they are spending on the app -- and maybe making it easier for them to choose to quit out of the app voluntarily.

In a significant ruling, the US Copyright Office has rejected a request to let an artificial intelligence (AI) system called 'Creativity Machine' copyright a piece of art it created. Its developer Steven Thaler tried to copyright the artwork on behalf of the algorithm he dubbed as 'Creativity Machine', reports The Verge. The decision calls "the nexus between the human mind and creative expression" a vital element of copyright.
Twitter may let you untag yourself from threads
A writer and researcher Machun Wong in a new Tweet revealed insight into how this feature will be helpful. The feature would untag username from a Twitter conversation, preventing people from mentioning it in the conversation again. The user will also not receive notifications from the conversation, but will still have access to it. In the screenshot, there is a popup window that outlines what this feature will do.
Apple completes production tests for AR/VR headset: Report
According to DigiTimes, the device has completed second-phase engineering validation tests (EVT 2) to ensure that prototype units meet Apple's design goals and specifications. The report added that the headset is expected to debut by the end of 2022. The headset would come with multiple highly sensitive 3D sensing modules in order to offer innovative hand tracking.
YouTube adds TikTok-style live rings to show when someone is streaming
The feature would make it easier to find live content. The new update will display a ring with the word "Live" on it around a channel's profile picture when they are live streaming. Currently, TikTok uses a pulsing ring effect on a channel's profile picture to alert the user that it is live. Meanwhile, YouTube TV is finally getting support for picture-in-picture (PiP) on iPhone and iPad.
WhatsApp working on new voice calling interface
WhatsApp development tracker WABetaInfo, voice calling would have a new interface when placing voice calls. References for the design change were already found in the in the previous beta updates for iOS and Android users. The new WhatsApp voice call interface would come with a round grey square in the front and center. It will also house the contact name, number, and profile picture.
Airtel joins undersea cable consortium to scale high-speed internet
"Airtel has been ahead of the curve on this front and already operates the largest undersea cable network out of India in addition to the biggest network of data centers.
