Apple iPhone 14 Pro may come with 8GB RAM

Leaker "yeux1122", on the Korean blogging site Naver, claims the 8GB figure is confirmed. Mass production is also claimed to be underway, reports AppleInsider. Leaker "yeux1122" notes that 8GB RAM would mean the "iPhone 14 Pro" matches the latest equivalent Samsung Galaxy. No prior iPhone has been released with an 8GB option. The upcoming iPhone 14 Pro models will feature both hole-punch and pill-shaped cutouts near the top of the display.
Metaverse to help AR/VR headset market reach 14 mn units in 2022

The growth momentum will come from increased demand for remote interactivity stemming from the pandemic, as well as Meta Oculus Quest 2's price reduction strategy. Tesla to accept Dogecoin as payment at Supercharging station

Santa Monica Supercharger will officially accept Dogecoin as payment, making it the first Supercharger in Tesla's network to accept the crypto as a payment method. "Of course, you can pay in Doge (sic)," said Musk in response to a tweet by Ryan Zohoury, the founder of Tesla Console who said that only ten minutes after the new Santa Monica Superchargers was opened they were already full.

Subway Surfers from Sybo Games was the second most installed mobile game worldwide last month with 23.7 million installs, which represented a 58.6% increase from January 2021. The countries with the largest number of Subway Surfers installs were India at 20.7%, followed by the US at approximately 7%.
Apple supplier BOE reportedly facing iPhone display production issues

According to The Elec, the shortage will impact production "this month and next month". BOE gets its display driver ICs for Apple's iPhone display panels from LX Semicon. LX Semicon is apparently supplying display driver ICs to LG Display before BOE. As a result, BOE is expected to drop its OLED panel production volume from three million units to two million units next month. Apple is expected to have ordered up to 10 million units of OLED panels for iPhones to BOE for the first half of 2022.

Windows 11 Pro will need a Microsoft Account, internet connection

Microsoft Windows 11 Pro will require an internet connection and a Microsoft Account during the initial setup phase, the company has announced. Similar to Windows 11 Home edition, Windows 11 Pro edition now requires internet connectivity during the initial device setup (OOBE) only. Currently, Windows 11 Pro users can avoid a Microsoft Account by disconnecting a PC from the internet during setup and creating a local user account.
Meta fires senior exec after he appeared in underage sex sting video

Skype users in US can make 911 calls from home computers

Microsoft-owned web-based calling platform Skype now lets US users dial 911 from their home computers. The app can share their location with emergency services if needed. The Skype emergency service calling is already available in Australia, Denmark, Finland, and the UK. To enable 911 emergency location sharing in Skype, select your profile picture, select Settings and then Privacy.

The Tab S8 series is expected to start at Rs 60,000. The more premium and powerful Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra is likely to cost Rs 1,20,000, industry sources told IANS. Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 features an 11-inch WQXGA (2,560x1,600 pixels) LTPS TFT display with 276ppi of pixel density. Under the hood, there is a 4nm octa-core SoC, which is likely to be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 paired with up to 12GB of RAM.
