Instagram launches 'Take a Break' feature for teens

Soon after whistleblower Frances Haugen, disclosed internal company research that revealed Instagram's negative effect on teenagers, the photo-sharing platform on Tuesday launched a 'Take a Break' feature for teenagers. Presently this feature is available in a few countries including the US, UK. Many studies earlier have proved that social media applications do affect teenagers mentally.
Over 2.2 million YouTube videos receives incorrect copyright claims: Report

More than 2.2 million YouTube videos received incorrect copyright claims that were later reversed between January and June of this year, according to the Copyright Transparency Report published by YouTube. The report is first of its kind and will be updated biannually, The Verge reported. However, 2.2 million incorrect claims comprise less than 1 per cent of over 729 million total copyright claims issued this year.

Google introduces voice, video call features to Google mail app

Tech giant Google rolls out a new feature for the Gmail app. This new feature will let the users make one-on-one voice and video calls on Google Chat inside the Gmail app. The feature is accessible to both iOS and Android users. The thought behind this feature was explained by the company, stating that this feature will allow the users to connect with their colleagues one-on-one, during a time when half of the employees returned to office and half still working from their home.
WhatsApp enables disappearing messages by default for new chats

Meta-owned platform said that it is adding two new durations for disappearing messages: 24 hours and 90 days, as well as the existing option of 7 days. "When enabled, all new one-on-one chats you or another person start will be set to disappear at your chosen duration, and we've added a new option when creating a group chat that lets you turn it on for groups you create," WhatsApp said in a statement.

Bitcoin slumps up to 20% after Wall Street selloff

According to a report in The Washington Post, the extremist groups began abusing Twitter's new system shortly after it debuted. Musk took Twitter to talk about the long-awaited Tesla Cybertruck. "Initial production will be 4 motor variants, with independent, ultra-fast response torque control of each wheel," the CEO wrote while replying to a user. "Will have both front and rear-wheel steer, so not just like a tank -- it can drive diagonally like a crab," he added. Musk also mentioned that the product roadmap will be updated on the next earning call.
