G7 nations consistently breaking promises for climate finance: Report
At COP15 in 2009, the G7 and other rich countries promised to provide "scaled-up, new and additional finance" to the value of $100 billion a year by 2020 to support the global South with their climate change adaptation and mitigation efforts. The reported sum of public climate finance provided by these rich countries totals $220 billion over the years 2011-18. 1 dead, 1 injured in San Francisco shooting
San Francisco police responded to the shooting report at the Muni Forest Hill station and found that the train had left, heading toward the Castro station. Officers discovered the two victims at the Castro station. One was pronounced dead on the spot, and the other was taken to San Francisco General hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, a police spokesperson said.
