Azadi March ends as Imran gives 6-day ultimatum to announce polls

The PTI chairman was off to his Bani Gala residence after addressing the participants of the �Azadi March' at Jinnah Avenue, leaving behind his supporters who marched for hours in anticipation of a major public gathering and sit-in, Geo News reported. The PTI marchers, who were in D-Chowk most of Wednesday night, had by this time entered Islamabad's prohibited Red Zone, which is home to several sensitive buildings, including Supreme Court, PM House, US Embassy.

Russia cancels upper age limit for military personnel

Previously, Russian citizens aged 18-40 and foreigners aged 18-30 were entitled to conclude the first contract for military service, reports Xinhua news agency. Now those who are older will be able to serve under a contract until the end of the working age, the State Duma or the lower house of Parliament, said on Wednesday.
Kiev condemns Russia's fast-track passport issuance decree for Ukrainian citizens

"The decree of the President of Russia is legally null and void and will have no legal consequences," the ministry was quoted by Xinhua news agency as saying. The issuance of Russian passports to Ukrainian citizens living in the territories seized by Russia is a "gross violation of Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity, norms and principles of international humanitarian law," it said.

PTI leader Faisal Javed Khan, taking to Twitter, said that Imran Khan's caravan had entered the federal capital. Islamabad IGP has called a police force deployed at the entry points of the city to the red zone area, Samaa TV reported. The Rangers have been deployed in the red zone while backup has also been called in. A considerable number of PTI activists have reached Islamabad's D-Chowk in front of the Parliament. Police used tear gas to disperse them but in vain.
