The message came after Trump called Modi personally to wish him a happy 75th birthday—a move seen as Washington's attempt to improve relations with New Delhi.

Later, on his Truth Social platform, Trump credited Modi for his support in bringing an end to the continued war between Russia and Ukraine.

"Just had a wonderful phone call with my friend, Prime Minister Narendra Modi. I wished him a very Happy Birthday! He is doing a tremendous job. Narendra: Thank you for your support on ending the War between Russia and Ukraine!" he posted on Truth Social.
