The announcement is made as GST marks eight years of its implementation in 2017, a reform that harmonised the country's indirect taxation system and appreciably increased the ease of doing business, particularly for small and medium-sized enterprises.

His comments come amid record-high GST revenue collections and increasing backing from the business community for additional streamlining of the system. The plan is to simplify tax slabs, increase transparency, and establish a more equitable structure for everyone.
