Suzuki Motorcycle India has on Friday stated that it will reduce prices of its entire two-wheeler portfolio by as much as Rs 18,000 from September 22, transferring the entire benefit of Goods and Services Tax (GST) reforms.
The firm, a two-wheeler subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corp, announced that Gixxer SF 250 would be given the biggest cut of Rs 18,024 in ex-showroom price, followed by V-Strom SX (Rs 17,982), Gixxer 250 (Rs 16,525), and Gixxer (RS 11,520).
For its scooter lineup, the Burgman Street Ex will be Rs 9,798 lower, the Burgman Street will decrease by Rs 8,373, the Avenis will decrease by Rs 7,823, and the Access will decrease by Rs 8,523.
Suzuki mentioned that the GST 2.0 redesigning will make its two-wheelers and spare parts cost less and accessible throughout India.
The union government also recently introduced GST 2.0, which reduced indirect tax rates from 28 per cent to 18 per cent on all two-wheelers of a maximum capacity of 350cc as well as on all auto parts. These measures intend to rationalise taxation and bring direct benefit to consumers.
In turn, SMIPL has updated its pricing across all models of its scooters and motorcycles. Lower GST on accessories and spare parts will also lead to lower maintenance, improving the overall ownership experience for customers, the company further said.

The new prices will be effective from September 22.
