The National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the results of the NEET UG 2026 examination, releasing the list of top performers along with key statistics from this year's medical entrance test.
Aryan Gupta from Punjab and Panshul Bansal from Haryana emerged as joint All India Rank (AIR) 1 holders after each securing 715 marks out of a total of 720.
Nearly 20 lakh candidates appeared for NEET UG 2026, with 11.21 lakh qualifying for admission to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH and other undergraduate medical programmes. Data released by the NTA shows that 138 candidates scored more than 690 marks, while 19 candidates achieved scores above the 700-mark level. Women accounted for more than 58% of all qualified candidates, highlighting their strong representation among successful aspirants.
The NTA said a total of 11,21,185 candidates cleared the examination. Of these, 5.12 lakh belonged to the OBC-NCL category, followed by 2.91 lakh from the General category, 1.59 lakh from the Scheduled Caste (SC) category, 95,026 from the General-EWS category, 63,716 from the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category and 3,666 Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) candidates.
The qualifying cut-offs differed across categories. For candidates in the General category, the qualifying score ranged from 715 to 213 marks.
