JEE Advanced test on Aug 28 for admission to 23 IITs
Students who had applied for JEE Advanced in 2021 but did not appear in the examination have been allowed to sit for the 2022 exam. According to IIT Bombay, this exemption, however, is only applicable for students who were absent for both the first and second round of tests of JEE Advanced 2021. Those who were absent only for the second test but present for the first one, will not be allowed.

The NIRF Rankings 2022 has been announced for a total of 11 categories including overall, university, colleges, engineering, management, pharmacy, medical, dental, law, architecture and research institutions. The previous year, 6272 higher education institutions participated in the NIRF rankings, which subsequently increased to 7254 institutions, this year. According to the rankings Saveentha Institute of Medical and Technical Science, Chennai is the top Dental college in India followed by the Manipal College of Dental College, Manipal.
CUET 2022: Candidates who missed exams in phase 2 to be allowed in phase 6, says NTA
In a statement, the NTA said: "Those candidates who could not take the examination in Phase 2 conducted on 04, 05, and 06 August 2022 either due to technical reasons or due to cancellation of the Centre, will be allowed to appear in Phase 6 which will be held from 24 to 30 August 2022." M Jagadesh Kumar tweeted, “However, now the final Phase II examination of UGC-NET December 2021 and June 2022 (Merged Cycles) has been scheduled to be conducted between 20 and 30 September 2022, involving 64 subjects (including Telugu & Marathi postponed due to Government of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana having their own examinations on 09 July 2022 and 15 subjects in which the examination could not be conducted at 07 Centres on 9 July 2022 Shift-1 due to technical issues).”

The NTA announced that 24 students have secured 100 per cent marks in JEE Main 2022 July Session. Over 9 lakh students appeared in the JEE-Main exam. Shrenik Sakala from Amravati has topped the JEE Main 2022 exam. He now becomes the first student ever from Vidarbha to top JEE Mains. This year, because of the tie breaking criteria, no two students will share the same rank. NTA will allot distinct ranks to all students based on the criteria of application number, individual subjects, no. of errors, date of birth, candidate who applied first etc.

It is worth mentioning that students who perform well in JEE-Main will be able to appear for JEE Advanced. Students securing a good rank in JEE Advanced will get admission in reputed engineering institutes of the country including IITs across the country.

CBSE compartment exams 2022: Class 10th 12th datesheet released, check out details here
The Exam for class 10th is scheduled to begin from August 23 to August 29, 2022. For class 12th will be conducted on August 23, 2022. Time of 15 minutes will be given to students to read the question paper, at the time of examination. Students who applied for 6 or more subjects but were unable to pass any of the first 5 subjects, with the exception of language, declared pass by substituting the sixth subject from the failed subject are also permitted in compartment examinations to enhance performance in the failed subject.
CUET exams postponed at many centres in 17 states
Sadhana Parashar, Senior Director (Exams) of National Testing Agency (NTA), said: "Due to technical reasons, the question paper for the second shift of the examination could only be uploaded at 5 p.m. and the download at 489 centres could start at 5.25 p.m., while the exam was scheduled to begin from 3 p.m." Reports were sought from the observers and city co-ordinators on ground. Based on their recommendations, the second shift scheduled for Thursday (from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.) was cancelled and it will now be conducted between August 12 to 14, Parashar said.
