Class 12 results policy adopted after wide consultation: Nishank

Nishank said that the students who are not satisfied with their result under this process will be given an opportunity to appear in the examination to be conducted by the CBSE if the conditions are favourable. SC approves 30:30:40 CBSE assessment plan for Class 12, results by July 31

The Supreme Court on Thursday accepted the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) formula for the assessment of Class 12 students. The CBSE, in an affidavit, informed a bench headed by Justice A.M. Khanwilkar and comprising Justice Dinesh Maheshwari that the performance of the students in Class 11 and Class 10 exams will also be factored in while making the assessments for Class 12 students.
CBSE to submit Class 12 assessment formula in SC on Thursday

Senior officials of the CBSE have expressed hope that the evaluation criteria, which has been prepared on the basis of the report of the 12-member committee of experts, may be released this week. The committee was formed to prepare the formula for giving results and marks for class 12 students. The committee consists of 12 persons, including Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Education and senior IAS officer Vipin Kumar.
UP schools to reopen on July 1 sans students

According to an order issued on Tuesday night by secretary, UPBEB, Pratap Singh Baghel, students will not attend schools till further orders. "Schools may call teachers and employees based on requirement," the order said. For schools affiliated to the CBSE and Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE), the respective school management committees (SMCs) will decide on calling teachers and administrative staff from July 1.

Amazon India introduces machine learning summer school

A batch of students from select tech campuses in India will be presented with the opportunity to engage through virtual classroom tutorials followed by interactive Q&A sessions with scientists at Amazon. For students with prior exposure to certain areas of ML, the programme can act as a refresher course, while additionally providing a practical perspective on ML applications in industry, the company said in a statement.
IIT-K improves ranking in world's best varsity list

This year, IIT-K has been ranked as the 277th position in the list of world's best university compared to the 350th position in the last edition. "No other Indian University has been able to achieve such a significant growth in this year's rankings. Amongst the best universities in India, IIT-K has been ranked number 4, improving its performance by a rank.
India's higher education enrollment stands at 3.85cr

The findings came after the release of All India Survey on Higher Education 2019-20. The report provides key performance indicators on the current status of higher education in the country. The total enrollment was 3.42 crore in 2014-15, mentioned the report released by Education Minister Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank'. He noted that in the last five years from 2015-16 to 2019-20, there has been a growth of 11.4 per cent in the student enrollment.
UP student secures free pass to Stanford University

Manu Chauhan, who belongs to Akrabad village was studying at VidyaGyan, a residential co-ed school that offers free world-class education to rural, underprivileged meritorious students from families with an annual income of less than Rs 1 lakh. He has been selected at Stanford University to study International Relations and Economics on 100 per cent scholarship. He will be joining in August end.
Australia researchers urge pandemic-proof education system
