The Weekend Ka Vaar shows have always been the greatest point of emphasis for Bigg Boss 19. But this week, audience members will witness a drastic change — Salman Khan won't be hosting the weekend special.
Bollywood actors Arshad Warsi and Akshay Kumar will host the stage instead, as announced in a promo posted by the show's official channel on social media.
Both the actors are familiar with the Bigg Boss house. Akshay Kumar had last been there during the grand finale of Season 11. Arshad Warsi, however, has a special mention in the history of the show as the first host of Bigg Boss. The first season, which was broadcast on Sony TV in 2006, had participants such as Rakhi Sawant, Kashmera Shah, Sambhavana Seth, and Rupali Ganguly, and the show was eventually won by actor Rahul Roy.
This weekend is also going to be a flashback as Arshad Warsi is back on the Bigg Boss platform after 18 years, which is sure to bring back memories for old-time fans. Salman Khan, who has become the synonym of Bigg Boss in the last 16 years, is going to be absent from the episode as he is filming his new movie Battle of Galwan in Ladakh on September 13–14.
The show has also experienced a variety of hosts over the years — beginning with Arshad Warsi, then Amitabh Bachchan and Shilpa Shetty, before Salman Khan assumed charge and made the job his own.
