In a recent Bigg Boss 19 activity, Neelam Giri elicited strong responses from her co-participants in the show with a cunning act in the golden biscuit stealing challenge.
The terms were simple: each group was to steal golden biscuits from their competitors. Neelam, however, cunningly hid several golden biscuits inside her T-shirt, where the other team could not recover any.
Her tactic immediately drew responses from housemates like Amaal Mallik, Gaurav Khanna, and Baseer Ali. Amaal, being the referee of the task, issued a stern warning to Neelam that if someone attempted to pick biscuits from her clothes, she would be blamed. He reminded her that the tactic was of her own concept and reiterated that all contestants were supposed to play the game honestly.
He stressed that each player has to be solely responsible for their game and strategy. To this, Neelam responded, "I am aware of what I was doing and I will surely not play the 'woman card' or the 'victim card'."
This episode is likened to a scene from Bigg Boss season 15, where Nikki Tamboli concealed an oxygen mask in her trousers during a task to outwit Rahul Vaidya and gain immunity for the week.
In Weekend Ka Vaar of that season, host Salman Khan had criticized Nikki for behaving in such a low-minded manner only to get a task. He asked how she would have responded if Rahul had removed the oxygen mask from her pockets, stating Nikki would have cried foul over being victimized and accused Rahul of physically assaulting her.
Neelam’s actions in Bigg Boss 19 echo Nikki’s controversial move, which had previously drawn Salman Khan’s reprimand and widespread trolling on social media.
