During the most recent Bigg Boss 19 episode, Shehbaz Badesha was found in a jovial but secretive state of mind as he executed a prank which, upon initial observation, appeared harmless to the other contestants.
Renowned for his playful character and funny pranks, Shehbaz went a notch further by hiding a number of personal and crucial items in the housemates' belongings, leading to confusion and irritation in the BB19 household. With the support of Amaal Mallik in the prank, they hid personal items and ingredients used in food preparations, confusing the housemates for days.
But the prank fell apart very soon as Shehbaz revealed to his close friend Neelam Giri that he was the mastermind behind the prank. To his disappointment, Neelam shared the whole secret with the housemaids, totally spoiling the prank. This news shocked the house as the contestants ganged up against Shehbaz and vented their wrath.
Housemates called for a total boycott of Shehbaz, even to the point of nominating him and withholding food from him. Distraught-looking Shehbaz confided to Zeishan Quadri how he felt betrayed, that he had been "betrayed and backstabbed by good friend Neelam Giri." But Neelam stood firm, refusing to give in.
She said, "I would not do anything if I think it is wrong, even if it is a prank." Even after Shehbaz assured her several times that it was a prank, Neelam remained firm, ignoring his disappointment as a friend. It got out of hand when Zeishan Quadri supported Shehbaz, standing by his friendly prank.
He approached the housemates who were being unjust to Shehbaz, telling them not to go overboard. As Shehbaz apologized to all, Baseer Ali, Pranit More, and Abhishek Bajaj gave no indications that they would forgive him.
