Bigg Boss season 19 has been seeing changing dynamics and heated confrontations, particularly in its third week. The latest drama occurred on a luxury budget task, when contestants Tanya Mittal and Kunickaa Sadanand clashed fiercely, leaving Tanya clearly upset.
The exercise involved every member of the house mentally counting 19 minutes as their fellow housemates attempted to divert their attention. While Tanya focused on counting, Kunickaa exploited every opportunity to interrupt her concentration and make her quit.
In trying to get Tanya eliminated, Kunickaa overstepped by introducing Tanya's mother into the quarrel, denigrating how she brought her up. She is said to have told Tanya's mother that she had not taught her fundamental skills such as grating and peeling cucumbers. Upon hearing her mother being demeaned on television, Tanya cried uncontrollably and was unable to be comforted.
Gaurav Khanna, a fellow BB 19 contestant, intervened to console Tanya and explicitly reprimanded Kunickaa for going too far. Kunickaa seemed unmoved and unconcerned and defended her statement as being in the nature of the task.
The two had also had tensions simmering between them earlier. Tanya had asked Kunickaa to try not to call her out publicly to avoid embarrassing her in front of the other housemates, but Kunickaa had replied bitterly and instructed her to stay away.
Kunickaa was also noticed backbiting Tanya with fellow contestants like Neelam Giri. Offended by those remarks, Tanya approached her, but Kunickaa did not want to display any compassion. Subsequently, Tanya was noticed venting out her anger to her close friend Neelam.
The show has brought to light the widening gap between Tanya and Kunickaa, and fans are watching with bated breath to learn how this fight will reach its culmination in the weeks to come.
