Dhanashree Verma Shares Insights on Her Divorce from Arbaz Patel in ‘Rise & Fall’

Holding an emotional chat with co-contestant Arbaz Patel, Dhanashree Verma eventually spoke on the long-standing speculation about her divorce with cricketer Yuzendra Chahal. She termed the rumors as "baseless" and "willfully created.

Reality show "Rise & Fall" provided a remarkably candid moment in its recent episode.

Holding an emotional chat with co-contestant Arbaz Patel, Dhanashree Verma eventually spoke on the long-standing speculation about her divorce with cricketer Yuzendra Chahal. She termed the rumors as "baseless" and "willfully created.

“Ye sab jo divorce ki baatein chal rahi hain, vo bilkul hi banai gayi cheezein hain. Maine usko already peeche chhod diya hai, (This entire chatter and gossip about my divorce is all made up. I have left behind this chapter of my life.)”

Dhanashree said firmly, making it clear she had moved past the chatter. Arbaz Patel, opening up in return, responded with empathy and said, “Bahar log hamesha kahani banate rahenge, but jo andar feel hota hai vo asli hai. Mujhe bhi kai baar apne struggles samjhane pade hain (People will always keep on spreading wrong stories, but what you feel on the inside is important and true. Even I have had to constantly explain myself all the time.)”

This emotional conversation was a big departure from the rest of the show, revealing two Rulers in a softer capacity—compared to their stereotypical picture of plotting and rivalry. As a show driven by strategy, this open discussion was a welcome respite from the norm for viewers. Current episodes have witnessed alliances change and the rivalries step up.

Amidst all this, questions regarding the openness of contestants continue to arise. A recent fierce fight between Arbaz Patel and Aarush Bhola even resulted in a physical altercation. This week's structure of Rise & Fall sees the house equally divided between Rulers and Workers: Bali, Anaya Bangar, Kiku Sharda, Kubbra Sait, Aarush Bhola, and Akriti Negi are living life as Workers, whereas Arjun Bijlani, Dhanashree Verma, Aditya Narayan, Aahana Kumra, Nayandeep Rakshit, Arbaz Patel, and Pawan Singh are living as Rulers.
