Farhana Bhatt is a lively Indian actress and one of the newest Bigg Boss 19 contestants. She was born on March 15, 1997, in Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir, and is 27 years old in 2024.
Hailing from a traditional Kashmiri family, Farhana had substantial societal and familial pressure when pursuing her passion for acting, but found absolute support from her mother throughout her journey.
Educationally, Farhana graduated from Government College for Women in Srinagar with a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication and Journalism, in addition to obtaining a Diploma in Acting from Anupam Kher's Actor Prepares School in Mumbai. She further perfected her acting craft by participating in numerous theater workshops in Mumbai, focusing particularly on the classical "9 Emotions," which not only improved her performance skills but also contributed significantly to her professional career.
Farhana made her Bollywood debut in 2016 with the film Sunshine Music Tours & Travels (SMTT) opposite Sunny Kaushal. She gained wider recognition for her portrayal of Jasmeet in Imtiaz Ali’s Laila Majnu (2018) and Dolly in Nitin Kakkar’s Notebook (2019). She has worked with some of the largest banners in Indian film, including Salman Khan Films, Balaji Telefilms, Yash Raj Films, Friday Filmworks, and Dharma Productions, and under the guidance of renowned directors like Imtiaz Ali, Neeraj Pandey, and Karan Johar.
Aside from films, Farhana has also left an imprint in music videos, collaborating with giant music labels such as T-Series, Speed Records, and Zee Music. She has also worked in web series and documentaries like The Freelancer (Disney+ Hotstar), Country of Blind, Heaven of Hindustan, and the 2024 Amazon miniTV series India's Braves, where she acted as the character Rihanna.
A multitalented individual, Farhana is a five-time national medalist Martial Artist (Taekwondo) and a self-taught, passionate dancer. She is also an animal lover and has a special love for her pet cat. Farhana is not married and has a close relationship with her two sisters, Soliha and Fiza Bhat, who form her immediate family.
