Comedian Kiku Sharda has dispelled rumors of a rift in his working relation with co-star Krushna Abhishek, dismissing reports of a bad patch as totally unfounded and stating that the reported "fight" was just a prank.
Earlier reports indicated that Kiku was leaving The Great Indian Kapil Show and insinuated a tiff with Krushna.
Reacting to the rumor, Kiku shared a joint Instagram post with Krushna containing a black-and-white picture of the two in vintage comic dress. The photo carried the caption: "A never Ending story."
In the caption, he wrote: “Yeh bandhan… kabhi nahi tootega! (This bond will never break). The ‘fight’ was a prank only. Don’t fall for all this gossip and rumours ki I’ve left The Great Indian Kapil Show. I’ll always be a part of the show and this parivaar.”
Urging viewers to keep their eyes on the show and not on rumors, he further said: "Toh yeh sab chhodo aur jao Netflix pe show dekho — sirf 3 episode baaki hain."
Kiku is still an integral part of The Great Indian Kapil Show. Although he has completed his work for the season, he is still a part of the core cast. He shall also be seen in Rise & Fall, another new show that marks a new phase in his journey as an actor and isn't a sign of him leaving Kapil's show.
Available to stream on Netflix, The Great Indian Kapil Show features Kapil Sharma with Sunil Grover, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, and Archana Puran Singh.
A source earlier confirmed that Kiku has finished filming for the ongoing season, without any pending work or abrupt departure. The source also confirmed that there was no tension between him and the team. His entry into Rise & Fall came after he fulfilled his commitments to Kapil's show, which might have made fans jump to conclusions that he was quitting.
The source also explained that all is well between Kiku and Krushna. The actors are in a cordial and professional relationship, and any clip suggesting otherwise was done as part of the show's comedy skit. There is no actual disagreement between them.
