Kyunki Saas… Season 2 Brings Back Mihir and Tulsi in Iconic Scene After 25 Years

Recently, the makers recreated one of the most iconic moments from Season 1, where lead characters Tulsi and Mihir accidentally collide, causing the colors on the plate in Tulsi’s hands to spill onto Mihir’s kurta.

Ekta Kapoor's Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi has come back with the second season of her soap opera, which hit television a few weeks ago and topped the TRP charts in its first week.

Recently, the makers recreated one of the most iconic moments from Season 1, where lead characters Tulsi and Mihir accidentally collide, causing the colors on the plate in Tulsi’s hands to spill onto Mihir’s kurta.

This memorable scene had captured viewers’ hearts during the early 2000s and its revival in Season 2, after 25 years, gave fans a nostalgic trip down memory lane.

The remake's video was posted on the host channel's Instagram account, where it soon received an outpour of fan comments and reactions.

Actor-politician Smriti Irani is back as Tulsi, and Amar Upadhyay is back as Mihir. The pair had once been hailed as the greatest on-screen jodi of the 2000s.

Based on Broadcast Audience Research Council of India (BARC) reports, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi Season 2 crossed a rating of 2.3 in its first week, dethroning Anupama that had ruled the Hindi GEC fictional show space for years.

The first season, which ran from June 2000 to November 2008, lasted eight years, the longest-running show of its time. Fanatical viewers will remember how Amar Upadhyay's character Mihir was re-introduced even after his first departure, because of pressure from fans.

Season 2 has managed to bring back the much-loved cast. Joining Smriti Irani and Amar Upadhyay are actors Hiten Tejwani, Gauri Pradhan, Shakti Anand, Ritu Seth, Ketavi Dave, and Komolika Guhathakurta, who have stepped in to play their previous roles once again. The show has also brought forth new faces, namely Rohit Suchanti, Shagun Sharma, Aman Gandhi, Tanisha Mehta, Prachi Singh, and Ankit Bhatia.
