Sophie Turner, the 'Game of Thrones' actress who was also previously in the news for her breakup with Joe Jonas, has said that filming for the movie 'Trust' was a "super cathartic" experience for her.
The 29-year-old actress was going through her divorce with Jonas when she was filming the movie, and she found it therapeutic to get lost in her character, Female First UK reports.
On Late Night with Seth Meyers, Sophie, whose character is betrayed in the film, stated, "I don't know if anybody knows this, but when I began shooting this film, I was experiencing, like, a media hell. So this was really therapeutic because I wanted to escape in my real life when all of that was going on. But I got to do it in a film and I got to break some s*** up, so that was awesome."
Sophie once said her breakup from Jonas was "incredibly sad." The pair were married from 2019 to 2024 and had a relationship she termed "beautiful," so the breakup was naturally tough, as she explained to Harper's Bazaar. "We had a beautiful relationship, and it was hard," she said.
Now single, Sophie went back to the UK, where she has rediscovered happiness. "I'm so glad to be home. I felt like my life was on hold until I went back to England. I just never do feel like me when I'm not in London, among my family and friends. I was away for so long — six years — and it was while my friends were getting married, and while I was pregnant. I went out to dinner with somebody the other day, and she said, 'I never got to touch your belly'. We didn't share those formative experiences with each other," she said.
Sophie has daughters Delphine, three, and Willa, five, with her former husband, and she revealed that becoming a mother has changed her profoundly. She explained motherhood had altered her "so much in every way."
