"On Thursday, July 10, at 1:50 a.m., Surrey Police Service responded to a business in the 8400 block of 120 Street for a call of shots fired," the SPS said in a formal release.

Surrey Police Service (SPS) confirmed they responded to a shots fired report at a business property in the early morning of Thursday, July 10, 2025. Authorities did not name the business, but media sources have labeled the location as Kap's Cafe.

"On Thursday, July 10, at 1:50 a.m., Surrey Police Service responded to a business in the 8400 block of 120 Street for a call of shots fired," the SPS said in a formal release.

When they arrived at the scene, officers discovered that shots were fired at the business, causing damage to properties. "Upon arrival by the police, it was immediately realized that the shots were aimed at the business, destroying the property, while employees were still inside," read the police.
 

Fortunately, no injuries were reported on the people who were in attendance during the shooting. The SPS also stated that an investigation is still ongoing, with officers investigating potential connections to other incidents and considering possible motives.

No description of the suspect has so far been released, and no motive behind the shooting has been identified, according to a report filed by The Vancouver Sun.

There has not been any public reaction so far from Kapil Sharma or his staff about the incident.
