Grammy-winning pop star Taylor Swift and American football player Travis Kelce are formally engaged.
The duo confirmed the news on Instagram by posting a carousel of images captioned: "Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married."
The photos show the moment Kelce went down on one knee in a rose garden, including a close-up of Swift's diamond engagement ring.
Swift and Kelce's romance has been a front-page tale since the couple went public last October. Sources from Variety indicate that Kelce did the pursuing after visiting Swift for her "Eras Tour" in July 2023, initiating the courtship between the Kansas City Chiefs tight end and pop icon.
Last month, Swift talked about her new album, The Life of a Showgirl, on New Heights, which is hosted by Kelce and his brother Jason.

"Obviously, as we all know, you guys have a ton of men who love sports who are listening to your podcast, and I think we all know that if there's one thing that men who love sports want to see in their places and on their televisions, it's more of me.
In a previous episode of New Heights, Kelce said he had originally intended to leave Swift his phone number through a friendship bracelet during her show at Arrowhead Stadium, Missouri—the same stadium for which he plays with the Chiefs—but couldn't do so.
Following that try, Kelce called upon individuals around Swift to catch her attention and finally did, prompting her to reach out to him personally. Their initial official date in New York ensued, and the couple has been omnipresent in the limelight ever since.
Swift detailed The Life of a Showgirl was born from the happiness she felt performing on the "Eras Tour."
This record is about what was happening behind the scenes of my inner self on this tour, which was so crazy and energetic and colorful," she said. "It just emerges from the most contagiously joyful, crazy, over-the-top place I was at in my life, and so that sparkle has transferred over onto this record. And like you said, bangers.
