The movie unfolds against the blood-stained historical backdrop of West Bengal's violent political history, and out of real events and spine-tingling first-hand accounts, the movie brings to light the brutal Hindu genocide that has been hidden by conventional narratives all along.

Speaking about the film, Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri stated, "'The Bengal Files' is a wake-up call, a roar that we will not let Bengal become another Kashmir. We chose to release the trailer in Kolkata so as to add genuineness to the presentation of the untold story of Hindu genocide and you will see a glimpse of the same in the trailer. The country should get ready… because if Kashmir wounded you, Bengal will haunt you".

With haunting images, deafening silences, and heart-shattering dialogues, the trailer blazes a blinding light on decades of communal conflict, systemic silence, and ideological manipulation. The film features National Award-winning actress Pallavi Joshi, legend Mithun Chakraborty, and a star-studded cast that brings a narrative to life many people attempted to erase.

Actress and producer Pallavi Joshi added, "This is another face of reality we are showing society, something that people really need to witness. 'The Bengal Files' trailer is an effort to bring the audience closer to the haunting reality the film presents. All performances in this film have come from a place of profound truth, so the story is even stronger.". It's impactful film with the passion to bring to light a truth long lost in the nation's memory. Hope the trailer gets the same love and affection as our teaser received.

August 16, 2025 is 79 years since the Direct Action Day, when All-India Muslim League chose to employ a "direct action" in the form of general strikes and economic shutdown to ask for a separate Muslim nation following the British withdrawal from India.

Mithun Chakraborty told, "'The Bengal Files' is all that the audience never anticipated. To me, this is what cinema is all about, making a difference and depicting what people should see. I assure you, I am speaking on behalf of all of you. This character has always connected me to you, and it will connect you as well.".
