Singer and actress Selena Gomez, who is now engaged to music producer Benny Blanco, recently revealed her unusual dessert of choice for her forthcoming wedding.
In a Rare Beauty TikTok video, Gomez explained her dream for the wedding day: "Whenever that day is, I do know I don't want a big cake. My go-to dessert I think would be biscuits and gravy. My nana's biscuits and gravy. That sounds like dessert to me.
Though she will pass on a traditional wedding cake, Gomez would like to have a small one retained as a memento. Femalefirst.co.uk reports, the "Only Murders in the Building" actress explained: "I think I want a mini one for just us that we can freeze."
Gomez and Blanco started dating in 2023, and the two since developed a strong relationship. The couple became engaged in 2024, and the actress has been open regarding what she looks forward to in the future—particularly starting a family.
Though Gomez has also shown in the past that she might not be able to have children herself, she indicated how much she loves children on an appearance on the Jay Shetty Podcast: "I don't know what's going to happen, obviously, but I love kids. I have an 11-year-old sister that I totally love. I love to make (children) laugh; they are so sweet. So definitely, when the time comes, I'm so looking forward to it."
Blanco also provided insight into Gomez's personality, who is naturally shy—except when there are children around. The 37-year-old, who has worked with artists such as Justin Bieber and The Weeknd, both of whom have been Gomez's past flame, said: "When she comes into a room, her top priority is to become one with the crowd. My mum is extremely similar, (she) and my mum are extremely similar."
He continued, "They'll say one thing all night that turns out to be the most funny or sad thing of the night. But I'm going to have diarrhoea of the mouth speaking to everybody. Wherever there's children at somewhere it's the only time she'll ever do that. She runs straight to the children and has these long conversations for hours with the children."
