Covid 19 update : India reports 7,350 new cases, 202 deaths

India recorded 7,350 new Covid-19 cases and 202 fatalities in the last 24 hrs, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said on Monday. The cumulative tally of vaccinated citizens in the country increased to 133.17 crores on Monday morning.

India recorded 7,350 new Covid-19 cases and 202 fatalities in the last 24 hrs, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said on Monday. The country's weekly positivity rate was at 0.69 per which remained below 1 per cent for the last 29 days and the daily positivity rate also remained below 2 per cent for the last 70 days at 0.86 per cent. The cumulative tally of vaccinated citizens in the country increased to 133.17 crores on Monday morning. A total of 19,10,917 vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours. More than 17.83 crore balance and unutilised Covid-19 vaccine doses are still available with the states and UTs, the Ministry added.

1. The 202 new fatalities have pushed the nationwide death toll to 4,75,636.

2. The recovery of 7,973 patients in the last 24 hours has increased the cumulative tally of recovered to 3,41,30,768. The recovery rate of the country stands at 98.37 per cent, the highest since March 2020.

3. The current active cases in the country stands at 91,456, which is the lowest in 561 days and it accounts for 0.26 per cent of the country's total positive case which is also the lowest since March 2020.
