A bench, headed by Chief Justice S.A. Bobde and comprising Justices A.S. Bopanna and V. Ramasubramanian, said: "Two serious allegations have been made in reply of the Union of India. They relate to (i) the threat to internal security of the country; and (ii) the agents and touts providing a safe passage into India for illegal immigrants, due to the porous nature of the landed borders."

Deshmukh probe: CBI records statement of Vaze, Param Bir Singh
A CBI source related to probe told IANS: "The agency sleuths have recorded the statement of Vaze, who is presently in NIA custody."The source said that the CBI is also recording the statement of Singh, who dropped a letter bomb on March 20, accusing Deshmukh of asking Vaze and other Mumbai Police personnel to extort Rs 100 crore 'monthly' from bars, hotels and restaurants.

Police said, based on reliable information, Kupwara Police busted a Pakistan sponsored narco-terror module and arrested a terrorist associate identified as Mukhtar Husain Shah, a resident of Karnah in Kupwara.Nine kg narcotic substance worth Rs 60 crore in market value was recovered from his possession, according to the police.
