Mann divorced his first wife, Inderpreet Kaur in 2015, with whom he has two children - 21-year-old daughter Seerat and 17-year-old son Dilshan. Both Seerat and Dilshan were spotted recently when their father took oath as Punjab chief minister in March.  The 48-year-old Aam Aadmi Party leader will tie the knots with Dr. Gurpreet Kaur according to Sikh rituals and the wedding ceremony will take place at his residence in Chandigarh.
Union Ministers Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, R.C.P. Singh resign

Naqvi, the Minority Affairs Minister, and Singh, the Steel Minister, have submitted their resignation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Sources said that the Prime Minister has lauded the contribution of Naqvi and Singh as ministers during a meeting of the Union Cabinet - the last for both ministers - earlier in the day.
SC declines urgent listing of plea seeking Nupur Sharma's arrest

The plea was mentioned for urgent listing before a vacation bench comprising Justices Indira Banerjee and J.K. Maheshwari. The counsel contended before the bench that a complaint was made to the police but no action has been taken so far against her. The bench told the counsel, "Why mention it before the vacation bench? Mention it before the registrar."
IAF gets highest number of job applications under Agnipath scheme

It has received a total of 7,49,899 job applications under the new recruitment scheme -- the highest number in any recruitment cycle till now. Earlier, the highest number of applications received was 6,31,528 in any recruitment cycle, according to IAF. "Compared to 6,31,528 applications in the past, which was the highest in any recruitment cycle, this time 7,49,899 applications have been received", said IAF in a tweet after the registrations process ended.

Senior advocate Siddharth Luthra mentioned Ranjan's plea before a vacation bench comprising Justices Indira Banerjee and J.K. Maheshwari and urged the court to urgently hear the matter. Luthra contended that his client made an error during a show and he later apologised for it. However, multiple FIRs have been registered against him in connection with the show. After hearing brief arguments in the matter, the bench agreed to list the matter on Thursday.

In the same period, 28 fatalities took the nationwide death toll to 5,25,270. Meanwhile, the active caseload has also risen to 1,15, 212 cases, accounting for 0.26 per cent of the total positive cases. The recovery of 15,394 patients in the last 24 hours took the cumulative tally to 4,29,07,327. Consequently, the recovery rate stands at 98.53 per cent. Meanwhile, the Daily Positivity rate has also marginally risen to 3.56 per cent, while the Weekly Positivity Rate stands at 3.84 per cent.
Jaishankar to visit Indonesia on July 7-8 for G20 meeting

At the FMM, the participants will deliberate on issues of contemporary relevance, such as strengthening multilateralism and current global challenges including food and energy security. According to MEA, during his visit, Dr Jaishakar is expected to hold several bilateral meetings with his counterparts from other G20 member states and invited countries. "EAM's participation in the G20 FMM will strengthen India's engagement with G20 member states," the Ministry said.
India says Big Tech must obey law of the land as Twitter goes to court

Minister of State for Electronics and IT Rajeev Chandrasekhar said in a tweet that all foreign intermediaries and platforms have a right to approach the court and judicial review in India. "But equally, all intermediary/platforms operating here have an unambiguous obligation to comply with our laws and rules," Chandrasekhar posted.
SpiceJet plane lands in Mumbai with cracked outer windshield

At around 23,000 feet height, the outer pane of the windshield on the co-pilot's side cracked but the cabin pressurisation was observed to be normal. The flight landed safely at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport later, said the spokesperson, but the cause of the accident - the second on Monday for the low-cost carrier - is not clear yet.
