Delhi's daily Covid records over 62% rise to 1,009
The positivity rate has jumped to 5.7 per cent against 4.42 per cent on the previous day. The number of active cases has also surged to 2,641, out of which 1,578 patients are being treated in home isolation. With 314 patients recovering in the last 24 hours, the total number of recoveries has gone up to 18,41,890. The fresh Covid infection has taken the cumulative caseload tally to 18,70,692, while the death toll has risen to 26,161.

Centre declares Al Badr cadre Arjumand Gulzar Dar as terrorist under UAPA
The terror organisation 'Al Badr' is listed as a terrorist organisation under the First Schedule to the said Act at serial number 26. According to a Gazette notification issued on Tuesday by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs, Arjumand Gulzar Dar alias Hamza Burhan alias Doctor went to Pakistan on valid documents where he joined Al Badr. He has been an active terrorist and commander of Al Badr, and since then and currently has been operating from Pakistan, said the Gazette notification.
DDMA likely to reimpose Rs 500 fine for not wearing mask in Delhi
According to the source, the DDMA is likely to impose a fine of Rs 500 for not wearing the mask at public places. Earlier in the day, a DDMA meeting was held chaired by the Delhi Lt. Governor Anil Baijal. The DDMA has taken cognizance of the Covid cases being reported in Delhi schools. As per the source, schools will stay open and not close amid rising Covid cases. A detailed SOPs will be made with the consultation of experts for schools in the national capital.

A total of 1,547 patients have recovered in the same time span and the cumulative tally of recovered patients since the beginning of the pandemic is now at 4,25,13,248.
