SC-appointed panel submits interim report in Pegasus snooping case

According to sources familiar with the development, the panel has submitted an interim report in the apex court. A bench headed by Chief Justice N.V. Ramana and comprising Justices Surya Kant and Hima Kohli will take up the petitions in the matter on February 23.The panel had earlier said that only two people submitted their mobiles phones with it for forensic examination.

DGCI approval to Corbevax will strengthen fight against Covid: Mandaviya

Vaccine manufacturer Biological E. Ltd on Monday announced that its Covid-19 vaccine, Corbevax, has received emergency use authorisation (EUA) from India's drug regulator for the 12 to 18 age group. According to the Hyderabad-based firm, Corbevax is India's first indigenously developed Receptor Binding Domain (RBD) protein sub-unit vaccine against Covid-19.

ICCR to organise craft fair exclusively for diplomatic community in Delhi

Tension in K'taka's Shivamogga over Bajrang Dal activist's murder

The police department is on high alert throughout the state after an incident of violence were reported. Fearing large-scale violence, the Shivamogga city has been turned into a police fortress. The Bajrang Dal activist, identified as Harsha, was brutally killed late Sunday night near Ravivarma Street in Bharathi Colony. Harsha was a tailor and held the position of 'Prakanda Sahakaryadarshi' (coordinator) in the district.
Lalu sentenced 5-yr jail, Rs 60L fine in 5th fodder scam case

A special CBI court in Ranchi on Monday sentenced Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad to five years imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 60 lakh on him in the Rs 139.35 crore Doranda treasury scam, the fifth fodder scam case. The former Bihar chief minister along with other accused was pronounced guilty by the court on February 15.
63% voter turnout in Punjab till 5 pm

Sixty-three per cent of over 2.14 crore voters in Punjab turned out on Sunday till 5 p.m. to elect 117 members of the Assembly amid minor skirmishes and snags in EVMs, officials said. The Malwa region, which has the highest number of 69 seats, saw the highest poll percentage compared to Doaba and Majha regions. Except some incidents of minor clashes, no major poll-related violence has been reported in the state so far.
