Congress attacks BJP over hate speeches, vandalisation of churches
Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge on Monday said: "Haridwar hate speeches, attacks on churches, murders in the name of religion, are all advanced symptoms of a society and polity in free fall. Hindutvawadis are unleashing barbarism. India is becoming an example of how quickly a democracy can collapse when institutions fail."
Centre extends Covid health guidelines till Jan 31

A source said that the Commission will discuss the current Covid situation for poll-bound states and will seek update on new Covid variant Omicron from Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan. The commission is also likely to seek suggestions on improving the Covid protocol for poll campaigning, polling days, and others.
Union Minister clarifies, says no plan to bring back farm laws

Delhi adds 290 Covid cases, highest single day rise since June 10
The capital city has also recorded one Covid death in the last 24 hours, pushing the death toll to 25,105. The Covid positivity rate has also climbed to 0.55 per cent. The city had recorded highest 0.67 per cent Covid positivity rate on June 4.
Delhi to re-impose night curfew amid rising Covid cases
The curfew will be imposed from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. Delhi on Sunday recorded 290 fresh Covid infection which is highest single day rise after June 10. According to the Health Department, the city had recorded 305 Covid cases on June 10.
