Man lynched by mob in Kapurthala, Punjab Police says 'no visible signs of sacrilege'
A man was beaten to death by the mob in a Kapurthala gurdwara on Sunday after he was accused of disrespecting the Nishan Sahib, the Sikh religious flag. A day before, another young man was lynched by the mob in Golden Temple, Amritsar for an alleged sacrilegious act.

Sacrilege incident at Golden Temple is conspiracy to create unrest: RSS
In a statement RSS general secretary Dattatreya Hosabale said that such incidents should not be allowed to shatter mutual harmony. "Yesterday's incident of an attempt to desecrate the Guru Granth Sahib in the golden temple in Amritsar is unfortunate. The RSS condemns this incident," Hosabale said.
