After the outbreak of Covid-19 in Wuhan in 2019, which led to the lockdown of the city, Fang started to write what is now known as the 'Wuhan Diary' from January to March 2020, describing what she saw and heard during the lockdown and her personal reflections. Man beaten to death for trying to descrate Guru Granth Sahib at Golden Temple

The youth, reportedly belonging to Uttar Pradesh, entered the restricted area and tried to pick the sword kept in front of the Guru Granth Sahib. He was caught by security persons and was handed over to the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) office, where he was beaten to death.
Rohini court blast: Delhi police arrest DRDO scientist, rule out terror angle

Terming the incident as a murder bid, Delhi Police Commissioner Rakesh Asthana said at a media briefing on Saturday that the senior scientist executed the plan in order to kill a lawyer, who was his neighbour and was supposed to attend a court hearing there. During interrogation, the scientist admitted that he had planted an improvised explosive device (IED) near a place where the lawyer was likely to sit.
LeT militant killed in Srinagar outskirts

Police said an LeT militant was killed in a brief encounter with the security forces in Dharbagh Dhara area of Harwan in the outskirts of Srinagar city early Sunday morning. "On specific information generated by police, a joint team of police and the CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in the Harwan area. The hiding militant fired at the security forces after which he was killed in a brief encounter."
86 new Covid cases in Delhi; highest in 5 months

With a steady rise in the new Covid cases amid the Omicron variant threat, the total infection tally has climbed to 14,42,090. However, the national capital has not reported any Covid related death in the last 10 days, and the death toll stands at 25,100. The Covid infection rate in the national capital has gone up to 0.13 per cent while the active cases are 484, as per the health bulletin.
India successfully test fires nuclear capable ballistic missile

The ministry said that Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) successfully tested the new generation nuclear capable ballistic missile 'Agni P' from Dr APJ Abdul Kalam island off the coast of Odisha at 11.06 a.m. The 'Agni P' is a two-stage canisterised solid propellant ballistic missile with dual redundant navigation and guidance system.

Delhi's minimum temperature may dip to 5 degrees

The minimum temperature in Delhi-NCR on Saturday will be 7 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature is pegged at 20 degrees. Delhi will continue to witness colder weather in the coming days, the IMD said, adding that "snowfall in many areas of Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh is having an impact on the plains".
