Yediyurappa had stated on Sunday while addressing a working committee meeting that the party workers should not be under the illusion that they can win elections using Prime Minister Narendra Modi's name alone. And they cannot rely on this factor alone. "The party workers should reach out to the people with their development work. For Monday, the IMD has predicted the maximum temperature at 35 degree Celsius and the minimum at 27 degree Celsius. The maximum temperature on Sunday was at 34.0 degrees Celsius, while the minimum was recorded at 26.5 degree Celsius, two notches below from the normal. Light rain may be witnessed on Tuesday, the IMD said, adding that the national capital may see another spell of moderate downpour on Wednesday.

Army launches search operation along LoC in Uri

"On the intervening night of 18/19 Sep 2021, suspicious movement was detected along the LoC in Uri Sector. Search of the area is under progress," an army official said. There has been a spurt in attempts of infiltration at the LoC. A Pakistani national was among the two terrorists killed at the LoC in Poonch after an infiltration bid was foiled by the army on August 30.
No Covid death in Delhi after two days, 28 new cases

There was no death registered due to Covid in the same time span. There was one death each registered on Saturday and Friday. According to Delhi government's health bulletin, with the 28 new cases, the tally of active cases stands at 387; out of which 137 are in home quarantine.
