'Not granting stay': HC declines relief to Abhishek Banerjee in PMLA case
Abhishek Banerjee, nephew of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, and his wife Rujira Banerjee, have challenged the September 10 summonses. Justice Yogesh Khanna said: "Let me be very clear. I am not granting any stay. I am issuing notice." He added that the court will issue notice and then the parties can file their reply in the matter.

Commissioned into the IAF's fighter stream on December 29, 1982, Air Marshal Vivek Ram Chaudhari has held various command, staff, and instructional appointments at various levels. "Government has decided to appoint Air Marshal V.R. Chaudhari, PVSM, AVSM, VM, presently Vice Chief of Air Staff, as the next Chief of Air Staff," a Defence Ministry statement said.

A statement published on the top court's website said: "The Supreme Court Collegium in its meeting held on 21st September, 2021 has reiterated its earlier recommendation dated 16th September, 2021 regarding transfer of the following Judges of High Courts."

Martyrs' families to be now invited on National Police Memorial Day

Don't use the word Dalit to identify someone: Punjab SC panel
In a statement issued here, Kaur said the nomenclature Dalit does not find mention in the Constitution or any other statute. Even the Union Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment has directed all state governments and Union Territory administrations to use the word Scheduled Caste instead of Dalit for persons belonging to SCs.
SC collegium recommends 13 Chief Justices for various HCs
The collegium's decisions, which were earlier reported by IANS, were published on the top court's website on Tuesday. The Supreme Court collegium, which also comprises Justices U.U. Lalit and A.M. Khanwilkar, in its meeting held on September 16, recommended elevation of eight judges as Chief Justices of the high courts.
Curriculum for women cadets at NDA in the works, exams from May, SC told
In an affidavit submitted before a bench headed by justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul, the Centre said: "A study group has been constituted by the defence services, comprising of experts to expeditiously formulate the comprehensive curriculum for women cadets at NDA and a Board of Officers has been convened to give a holistic and futuristic proposal for training of women cadets at NDA incorporating all relevant aspects".
