Though a Rashtrapati Bhavan communique late on Thursday night said that Assam Governor Jagdish Mukhi has been given the additional charge as Nagaland Governor until regular arrangements are made, there is no official word yet about who would be the Centre's interlocutor for the vital Naga peace talks.

RN Ravi has been shifted to Tamil Nadu, a Rashtrapati Bhavan (President House) communiqué said on Thursday.Ravi, an IPS 1976 batch officer from the Kerala cadre who had retired as Special Director in the Intelligence Bureau in 2012, was appointed government interlocutor for the Naga peace talks in 2014 and 2015.

Indian Army Chief visits Western Command, reviews operational preparedness

The Army chief was updated on various operational and training-related issues by the Western Army commander, Lt Gen R.P. Singh.
