Digvijaya draws analogy between RSS, Taliban
Digvijaya Singh in a tweet said, "Do Taliban and RSS have a similarity of views on Working Women? Looks like it, unless Mohan Bhagwat ji and Taliban change their views." Digvijaya, who is bitter crtitic of the RSS, has been slamming the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and had alleged that the organisation was dividing the Hindu and Muslim communities by spreading lies and fake narrative.
Day 4 of agitation: Internet restored in Karnal
Talking to IANS, a city business owner Guljar Singh said, "The local administration has restored the Internet services and now we hope that they will also consider the farmers' demands also." Jairnal Singh, a farmer at the protesting site, said, "The restoration of the Internet is not enough, we are fighting here for our genuine demand to sack officer Ayush Sinha and give compensation to the farmer who died in the incident."

As per the India Meteorological Department (IMD) data updated at 8.30 a.m., the Ayanagar observatory recorded maximum rainfall at 32 mm, 18 mm rainfall was recorded at Palam, 6 mm at Lodhi Road, while 5 mm rainfall was recorded at Safdarjung observatory. The city is likely to receive another spell of rain later in the day as the IMD has predicted moderate rain on Friday.
Mayawati finally disowns Mukhtar Ansari
In a tweet, she said that her party would not give ticket to jailed mafia don Mukhtar Ansari from the Mau Assembly seat. Mukhtar had won the seat in 2017 on a BSP ticket. Instead, she named BSP state president Bhim Rajbhar as the party candidate from Mau. Mayawati asserted that she wanted to ensure rule of law and would not entertain those who violated the law.

Bengal post-poll violence: Victim's body handed over to family after 130 days
Sarkar was allegedly killed in the post-poll violence that broke out in West Bengal after the declaration of Assembly election results on May 2. Sarkar's body was preserved at the NRS Medical College and Hospital here for the purpose of investigation. It was handed over to his family following directions from the court. The court had earlier ordered a DNA test on the body since Sarkar's family could not identify it.
Purohit new Punjab Governor, Ravi shifted to Tamil Nadu
According to a Rashtrapati Bhavan communique, Tamil Nadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit, who was holding additional charge as Punjab Governor, will now be the full-fledged Governor. Nagaland Governor R.N. Ravi will be the new Governor of Tamil Nadu, and Assam Professor Jagdish Mukhi will hold additional charge of Nagaland "until regular arrangements are made".
Rajnath, Gadkari inaugurate Emergency Landing Field in Rajasthan
The emergency landing strip at Gandhav Bhakasar Section of NH-925, south of Barmer in Rajasthan, is the first time that the National Highway will be used for emergency landing of IAF aircraft. The NHAI had developed an Emergency Landing Facility (ELF) for the Indian Air Force, which is a part of the newly developed two-lane paved shoulder of Gagariya-Bakhasar and Satta-Gandhav Section having a total length of 196.97 Km costing Rs 765.52 crore under the Bharatmala Pariyojana.
