Minor girls paraded naked in MP to propitiate rain gods, probe ordered

The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) has taken a grim view of the matter and has sought a report from the district administration. According to the information received so far, the incident was reported from Baniya village in Jabera block of the district. In the Bundelkhand region, in which Damoh falls, people have faith in various "traditions" to urge Lord Indra for rain. One of this is getting minor girls to pray to a local goddess in a naked state, as this is believed to please him, and make it rain.
ULFA-I keen to hold peace talks with government

He knows our history and we have seen his courage. Chhattisgarh police, while acting on an FIR lodged at Raipur's DD Nagar police station on a complaint of Sarv Brahmin Samaj, arrested Baghel senior from Delhi and brought him to Raipur. He was later produced before a judicial magistrate where he flatly refused to seek bail. The court then sent him to 14-day judicial remand. Bhupesh Baghel has serious ideological differences with his father.

The Kashmir Migrants can log in to -http://jkmigrantrelief.nic.in/ or http://kashmirmigrantsip.jk.gov.in to submit their complaints. The application filed on the portal will be disposed of in a fixed time frame under the Public Services Guarantee Act, 2011 by the revenue authorities under intimation to the applicant.
Farmers gherao Karnal secretariat after inconclusive meeting with DC

The move came after political activist Yogendra Yadav and Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) leader Rakesh Tikait told media that their meeting with Karnal DC ended inconclusively and that the authorities did not agree to suspend or even set up an enquiry against the IAS officer who ordered lathicharge against the farmers protesting against the three farm laws on August 28.
