No deaths due to lack of oxygen specifically reported by states: Govt

In a reply to a question by Congress' Rajya Sabha member K.C. Venugopal over deaths of people due to lack of oxygen, Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Bharati Pravin Pawar, in a written reply, said that health is a state subject and detailed guidelines for reporting of deaths were issued by the Ministry to all states and Union Territories.

Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said we will soon have vaccines for children and the clinical trials are ongoing. Mandaviya said, "Zydus Cadila has applied for Emergency Use Authorisation (EUA) for its Covid-19 vaccine and Hyderabad-based Biological E will enter the market with 7.5 crore doses of its Covid-19 vaccine by September-October."

Red Fort to be shut from July 21 till I-Day: ASI

It came after the Delhi Police in a letter on July 12 had suggested that the Red Fort be shut from July 15 in view of the Covid pandemic and security reasons. Delhi Police has already beefed up security in the capital, including near its three borders at Singhu, Tikri and Ghazipur, in view of the Monsoon Session of Parliament that commenced on Monday and run up to the Independence Day.
Sasikala visits ailing AIADMK leader Madhusudhanan in hospital

Sasikala came to the hospital in a car flying the AIADMK flag. The party had earlier opposed her sporting the party flag on the car when she was returning back to Tamil Nadu from the Bengaluru central prison where she was lodged after being sentenced to four years jail by the Supreme Court in 2017 for amassing wealth disproportionate to her known sources of income.
