At 723, India records lowest Covid fatalities since April 8
The first death due to Covid-19 in the country was reported last year in March. On May 23 this year, India witnessed the highest fatalities with 4,454 deaths in 24 hours. Monday is the 17th consecutive day in the last two months when the death toll has been below the 2,000-mark. The total caseload rose to 3,05,85,229 after India crossed the three crore-mark on June 25.

Less than 50,000 daily Covid cases reported for a week now: Centre
The country has also been witnessing a continuous fall in the active caseload, which stands at 4,85,350 now, it said, adding that a net decline of 10,183 was witnessed in the last 24 hours and active cases are now only 1.59 per cent of the total positive cases. The Ministry also said that more people are recovering from Covid-19 infection, with daily recoveries continuing to outnumber daily new cases for 52 consecutive days now.

Delhi reports 94 new Covid cases, 7 deaths
The daily Covid positivity rate stood at 0.13 per cent, it said. A total of 111 persons recovered from the disease in the same period, taking the national capital's total number of recoveries to 14,08,567. The active cases stood at 992, of which 300 are in home isolation. With the latest deaths reported on Sunday, Delhi's overall Covid death has reached 24,995.
