Increase in gap between Covishield doses based on scientific evidence: NTAGI

The National Technical Advisory Group on Immunization (NTAGI) on Thursday recommended increasing the interval between two doses of Covishield to 12-16 weeks from four to eight weeks earlier. The decision to increase the gap between two Covishield doses from 4-6 weeks to 12-16 weeks is based on scientific reason regarding behaviour of adenovector vaccines, said Chairman of India's Covid-19 Working Group of the NTAGI), N.K. Arora.
Covid 19 Update: India logs 62K new cases, 2,542 deaths

This is the ninth consecutive day when India has reported less than one lakh Covid cases. On June 15, India recorded 60,461 cases, lowest since March 29. India overall tally of Covid-19 cases now stands at 2,96,33,105. The active cases have come down below 10 lakh. The country has 8,65,432 active cases presently and has witnessed 3,79,573 deaths so far.
India's Covid recovery rate improved in last 26 days: Health Ministry

At a press conference on the current situation, the ministry said along with new cases, daily positivity rate and active cases, India has witnessed tremendous improvement in recoveries as well. The recovery rate, since last 26 days, has been improving in the country, and as of now, the number of people recovering daily are almost double compared to the cases being daily reported in different districts in the country, Joint Secretary, Health, Lav Agarwal, said.

NIA court sentences 3 LeT operatives to 10 years in prison

An NIA spokesperson said that a Special NIA Court here sentenced Mohammad Muzammil to 10 years rigorous imprisonment under the relevant sections of IPC and UA(P)A, and five years under several sections of Arms Act besides slapping a fine of Rs 5,000. The court also sent Mohammad Sadiq and Mohammad Akram to 10 years rigorous imprisonment.

Chirag Paswan revealed that Prince Raj was involved in a sexual act with a woman leader of the party who was later blackmailing him. "When this matter came to my knowledge, I suggested Prince Raj to register a complaint with the police. I have discussed this with Pasupati Kumar Paras, who is an elder in my family, but he did not take it seriously," Chirag Paswan said in the letter.
