The conference is attended by senior officers of the Army including the vice chief of the army staff, all commanders, principal staff officers (PSOs) of the Army Headquarters and other senior officers. In the two-day conference, the Army top brass will discuss the current position of Chinese People's Liberation Army positions in disputed areas at Gogra, Hot Springs, Demchok and Depsang at Line of Actual Control in Eastern Ladakh.
Congress says both Sonia and Priyanka Gandhi have taken Covid vaccine

While Sonia Gandhi has taken both doses, Priyanka Gandhi has taken her first dose and Rahul Gandhi will take it as per the advice of doctors as he has just recovered from Covid. Randeep Surjewala, General Secretary of the party, said that the Bharatiya Janata Party should focus on vaccinating the citizens of the country rather than questioning the opposition.
Delhi riots case: Court orders release of 3 student activists

Additional sessions judge at Karkardooma Courts Revinder Bedi said the order has been passed for releasing the three accused and an intimation has been sent to the Tihar jail authorities in the matter. The court declined to entertain the plea of Delhi Police seeking more time to verify the documents.

MHA withdraws 'Y+' category security of TMC leader Mukul Roy

The development comes after Roy recently rejoined the Trinamool Congress from Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Roy's son Subhrangshu's CISF protection was also withdrawn last week. The security withdrawal is reportedly initiated after Roy's written request to the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA). The TMC leader made the request to the Central government to withdraw his security soon after he rejoined TMC.

Covid 19 Update: India records 67K new cases, 2,330 deaths

This is the 10th consecutive day when India has reported less than one lakh Covid cases. On June 15, India recorded 60,461 cases, lowest since March 29. India's overall tally of Covid-19 cases now stands at 2,97,00,313. The active cases have come down below 10 lakh. The country has 8,26,740 active cases presently and has witnessed 3,81,903 deaths so far.
Special Cell questioned Twitter MD in alleged Congress toolkit case on May 31

A team went to Maheshwari's house on May 31 in Bengaluru to record his statement, an official said, adding that the Twitter MD was asked how the social media site tagged the tweets of BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra as manipulated media. The Congress has accused BJP of forgery and cheating and had approached the Delhi Police with a complaint against Patra, BJP national President JP Nadda, Union Minister Smriti Irani and several others.
