The UP Police had labelled the assault on the victim as non-communal in nature and requested Twitter to take down the post since it was allegedly used to fire communal tensions in the country.
At 1,587, India logs least daily Covid deaths in 60 days

This is for the first time in the last two months that the death tally has come down below the mark of 2,000. And it is the 11th consecutive day when India has reported less than one lakh new Covid cases. On June 15, India recorded 60,461 cases, the lowest since March 29. The overall tally of Covid-19 cases in the country now stands at 2,97,62,793.
Portuguese ship spills 10 KL oil 450 km off Chennai

The vessel was on passage from Colombo to Haldia in West Bengal, carrying 10,795 tonnes of general cargo in 382 containers, manned by 17 crew of mixed nationality. The Coast Guard said that it had received information from the Maritime Rescue and Coordination Centre (MRCC) in Colombo late on Wednesday about a mid-sea oil spill about 450 km southeast of Chennai.
